Carnaval In La Vega, Dominican Republic

Carnaval happens during the month of february. La Vega hosts what most Dominicans feel is the best Carnaval. Wild costumes, dancing, drinking, partying and of course. . . .getting whacked on your butt to drive the evil spirits away!

This video was shot at Carnaval in 2003. It is a short montage with a Merengue saoundtrack to give a bit of the flavor of Carnaval in the DR. This year I hope to shoot footage of Carnaval in some other cities and towns throughout the DR.
