A date at the Cockfights!

In this new video a Dominican Couple is on a "date" at the local Cock Fight in Monte Christe in the Dominican Republic. This couple dances Bachata while the gallos or roosters get prepared to fight to the death. Seemed like a strange scene to us so we shot some footage and posted this short clip.

Carnaval Parade in Santo Domingo

We just posted a new video of the Carnaval Parade on the Malecon in Santo Domingo. We posted Broadband and Dial Up windows media files as well as a Quicktime broadband video.

The Parade or "desfila" in Santo Domingo features Carnaval groups from all over the country. In this video, there are shots of "los pintaos" from Barahona,and the men from Monte Christi fighting with bull whips.

Altos De Chavon in La Romana, Dominican Republic

We just aded a video clip of Altos De Chavon to dr-tourist.tv Altos De Chavon is a recreated 16th century village, in La Romana, Dominican Republic. It is not very far from Casa de Campo. Altos De Chavon is home to a School Of Deesign as well as museums, shops, restaurants and more. We shot video of strolling musicians playing a Bachata to use as the saoundtrack in this video.

Carnaval 2005 in Bonao Dominican Republic

We finally had time to edit the footage we shot on feb 27th 2005 in Bonao, Dominican republic during Carnaval. Carnaval in the DR is not as wild as it is in Rio for examle but it is still a great time. People dancing to Merengue, Bachata and Reggaeton, drinking, partying, parades and of course getting whcked on the butt to drive away evil spirits.
